Overview
This one-day seminar satisfies the seminar option for new judge candidates and counts as continuing education for current judges. You must attend the entire day as a full participant to meet the AKC Scent Work seminar requirements. The seminar will be split between classroom instruction / discussion and hands-on activities.
Discussion Topics
Hands-on Learning
Participants acting as Judges and Stewards will break into groups to design searches for preselected classes and difficulty levels. After the demo dog runs the search, the instructor will discuss the search design and hide placement with the group.
Seminar fees
Judges (Full Participation): $125
Audit Participation: $75
Other Information
The AKC retains all rights to photograph or videotape by any means, televise, or reproduce these events in any way, now and in the future. The AKC may use photos of this event in future educational literature, training purposes, newsletters or advertisements.
Attendees are not to bring dogs to the seminar.
