Seminar
There are EIGHT working spots each day and unlimited audit spots. All dogs should be familiar with Birch, Anise and Clove. Day One will be directed towards the newer Teams, giving you an in-depth understanding and knowledge of reading your dog. Day Two will challenge the seasoned Teams and Professionals, perfecting the techniques applied. Both days will be a valuable learning experiences, in class and in the field, for all levels. Any handler attending BOTH days, in any combination, will receive 10% off the amount. There will be a wait-list maintained as working spots become filled. All enrollment must be received by July 1, 2023.
Refunds: 100% refund prior to July 1, 2023 after July 1st, 50% refund unless your working spot has been filled by the wait-list. If you submit enrollment for a working spot and become wait-listed, you will automatically be placed in an audit spot and refunded the difference if a working spot does not open.
Hospitality: Coffee and pastries/muffins will be available during check-in each day. Lunch will also be provided each day during the break at Kyle’s discretion.

9a-9:45a: Lecture (whiteboard or PowerPoint).
Reading your Dog-the 7 Steps.
An academic approach to reading individual dogs based on signals exhibited by the dog. Simplifies and identifies how to properly read and interpret dog’s signals.
9:45a-10:30a: Lecture (whiteboard or PowerPoint).
Eight Body Language Indicators of Search Dogs.
A breakdown of 8 typical signals given by search dogs. Applies to detection, tracking and patrol applications. Provides a basis for handlers to read their own dogs and assist others in reading theirs.
10:30a-12p. Fieldwork.
Working teams conduct basic detection drills and applying the concepts presented in above lectures. Q&A ongoing and encouraged from working and audit participants.
12p-12:30p. Lunch.
12:30p-4:30p. Continuation of field work.
Problem solving as needed.
