We are a Connecticut based German Shepherd Dog Club. The only AKC German Shepherd Specialty Club in CT. Our members participate in Breed, Obedience, Rally-O, and many other activities. Come and join us at one of our events or meetings!

OCTOBER 15, 2016 MEETING NOTICE
We will have our meeting on Friday Oct 14, the night before the October Specialty at the Dog Training Center of Waterbury in Oxford. Doors will open at 7. Meeting should be a short one concentrating on the next days events.
Please let us know if you are planning on helping at the show. The conformation shows will begin at 9am and the obedience will also begin at 9am.
We need volunteers for the obedience ring and to get the lunch items set up. It is anticipated the both conformation shows will be over by noon or shortly thereafter so many of our volunteers will be busy in that ring until at least noon. We need your help in obedience and rally if you can give it.

(a) To encourage and promote the QUALITY breeding of pure-bred German Shepherd Dogs and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection.
(b) To urge members and breeders to accept the Standard of the Breed as approved by the American Kennel Club as the only Standard of excellence by which German Shepherd Dogs shall be judged.
(c) To do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the Breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows, obedience trials and performance events.
(d) To conduct sanctioned matches, licensed specialty shows, obedience trials, performance events and any other event for which the club is eligible under the Rules and Regulations of the American Kennel Club.
