We are a Connecticut based German Shepherd Dog Club. The only AKC German Shepherd Specialty Club in CT. Our members participate in Breed, Obedience, Rally-O, and many other activities. Come and join us at one of our events or meetings!

November 2016 MEETING NOTICE

Please note that the "Nose Work" demonstration will start at 7:30 sharp. Doors will open at 7 The Board meeting will start and end before 7:30. Following the program we will have our regular meeting. Please disregard the reference in the previously attached notice that doors will open at 7:30

Our November meeting will be on Friday Nov 11 at the Waterbury Dog Training Club in Oxford CT. Doors open at 7. Directions to our meeting site are on the club's website at www.gsdcgnh.org. We will have our Board meeting starting at 7:30 and immediately following the Board meeting we will have an educational program featuring one of the area's leading trainers for the relatively new AKC event of "Nose Work". Following the program we will have our Regular Monthly meeting where we will elect a nominating committee for officers for next year and choose our two judges for the two specialties which we will have on June 10. Only members who are in attendance can vote for judges so if you wish to have a say in our judges please plan on attending.

Mission Statement

(a) To encourage and promote the QUALITY breeding of pure-bred German Shepherd Dogs and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection.

(b) To urge members and breeders to accept the Standard of the Breed as approved by the American Kennel Club as the only Standard of excellence by which German Shepherd Dogs shall be judged.

(c) To do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the Breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows, obedience trials and performance events.

(d) To conduct sanctioned matches, licensed specialty shows, obedience trials, performance events and any other event for which the club is eligible under the Rules and Regulations of the American Kennel Club.
